February 2003 The 7th and 8th of January saw a lot of activity in the city of Chennai. the Lodge Archibald Campbell Lodge celebrated its platinum Jubilee on the 7th of February 2003 and the DGL of Madras' Annual Investiture meeting was conducted under the banner of Lodge Archibald Campbell. " It is reported that the Pitt Macdonald Lodge, constructed for a Panchayat School in MAMBAKKAM Village, on the Old Mahabalipuram Road, a Water Tank and a modern Toilet facility, which was handed over to the School at a function held on Thursday the 27th February at 9.a.m. The District Grand Master was the Chief Guest and the W.M. and a number of Brethren of Pitt Macdonald were present. The project cost incurred by the Lodge was Rs.3.25 lakhs and is a fine example of Masonic Charity at work, and the Lodge is to be congratulated on its initiative in assisting a fine village school which has 1600 students, evenly divided between the sexes, and has a success rate of 99% in its school final results.
